Hard Lotion Bar
We think petroleum should stay at the gas station, not be rubbed into your skin.
One of the first ingredients in many lotions is mineral oil. Which is a byproduct of petroleum. Think plastic wrap, clogging your pores and suffocating your skin. Yuck. But getting much farther down the ingredient list doesn’t exactly make us feel much better… synthetic fragrances, carcinogenics, parabens. What’s a person to do about smooth, silky skin??
Cue the Hard Lotion Bar.
Open this cool hinge tin and you’ll find a bar that looks a little like soap, but you won’t need water… this is lotion! This, however, is lotion like no other… super concentrated and moisturizing with loads of raw shea butter and skin-healing coconut oil that uses your body heat to soften and melt into your skin. No chemicals. No synthetics. No big words no one can pronounce. This lotion is actually healing and repairing to your skin. And it feels like a dream.
Keep this bar by your kitchen sink, on your bedside table, or anywhere you can reach for it and give your skin an extra “drink.” In warmer months, we recommend keeping this product indoors as high temperatures can cause the natural oils to melt. If melting does occur, never fear… Pop the entire tin into the freezer until it’s just like new.
All Natural Beeswax Lip Balm
Ever read the list of ingredients on a tube of lip balm? The lip balm you actually INGEST when you lick your lips?
This is the ingredient list from the most common brand of lip balm: ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: PADIMATE O, WHITE PETROLATUM 44% (SKIN PROTECTANT). INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: ARACHADYL PROPIONATE, CAMPHOR, CETYL ALCOHOL, FD&C BLUE 1 ALUMINUM LAKE, FD&C YELLOW 5 ALUMINUM LAKE, FRAGRANCE, ISOPROPYL LANOLATE, ISOPROPYL, PHENYL METHICONE, PROPYLPARABEN, SACCHARIN, SPEARMINT OIL, WAXES. Ingredients in this list have been linked to cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity, and others. Not exactly risks we want to sign up for just to deal with chapped lips! To top it off, the alcohol in the product results in more dryness… which is exactly what you’re trying to combat when you pull out a tube of lip balm, right? So most products perpetuate the vicious cycle rather than actually improving the condition of your lips!
But wait, there is good news! Our Beeswax Lip Balm uses only all natural ingredients to soothe and moisturize lips. We combine ultra-moisturizing raw shea butter and coconut oil to soothe and soften your lips, along with beeswax (to keep the oils from turning to liquid in your pocket!), peppermint essential oil for a nice minty tingle or refreshing citrus essential oils for a mild lip balm, and Vitamin E oil to preserve and moisturize even more. We keep the ingredient list simple, using only what is natural, safe, and necessary.
You don’t have to worry about getting caught in the vicious cycle of using a lip balm that dries out your lips and causes you to need more lip balm when you use the Beeswax Lip Balm that is Made On Acorn Hill. We can’t promise that you and your lips won’t become obsessed with the moisturizing goodness that the all-natural ingredients have to offer, but you can rest assured that each time you smooth our Beeswax Lip Balm on your lips, you are actually moisturizing them, not drying them!
Only the best for your kisser!
